Vision of Digital Alps

At the CH-AT Mountain Days, June 11-13 2013, in Mittersill (Austria) a group of international scientists will discuss the vision of Digital Alps as part of a Digital Earth. This session is a networking activity connecting scientists from the field of remote sensing, GIScience and several applications in mountain research. The session discussion focuses on requirements, added values and challenges of geodata infrastructures providing data and analysis tools for conducting mountain research integrating remote sensing data, open data archives, crowdsourced GI and VGI. The session will be chaired by Martin Rutzinger (ÖAW), Bernhard Höfle (GIScience Heidelberg) and Norbert Pfeifer (Vienna Univ. of Technology).
