Lucy from the GIScience group had the opportunity to participate at the 2nd AGILE PhD school, a forum for PhD students to discuss their research studies, exchange ideas and experiences, and identify possibilities for collaborative research. The school which was organized by the AGILE group took place between 30 September and 02 October 2013 at the “Fraueninsel”, an island located in Lake Chiemsee, and attracted students throughout the European Union, as well as from Israel and Japan. Study interests akin to our group were aired, including visualization techniques, uncertainty mapping with GIS, environmental modeling, VGI, etc. The event was very enlightening, and its proceedings can be found here: http://www.agile-online.org/index.php/conference/phd-schools
