Just before Christmas Yeran Sun from GIScience Heidelberg successfully defended his PhD about Investigating Potential of VGI Data for Revealing Spatial and Temporal Patterns of Human Activity. He investigated the use of social media from several social network and social media plattforms like Flickr or Foursquare in several different use cases such as tourism or travel recommendation.
