Heidelberg Center for the Environment: Bernhard Höfle joins the Board of Directors

The Executive Committee of the Heidelberg Center for the Environment (HCE) – the interdisciplinary research center for Environmental Sciences at Heidelberg University – has appointed Prof. Bernhard Höfle as new Vice-Director for Natural Sciences. Prof. Thomas Meier was appointed new Executive Director and Prof. Jale Tosun new Vice-Director for Social Sciences. The directors are responsible for managing the research center together with the HCE Office.

Big thanks go to Prof. Werner Aeschbach (former Executive Director) and Prof. Sebastian Harnisch (former Vice-Director) for their huge efforts and successful years leading the HCE.

The Heidelberg Center for the Environment (HCE) helps to sustainably combine existing competences at Heidelberg University in the area of environmental sciences. Going beyond the traditional boundaries of a specific subject or discipline, the HCE aims at providing academic solutions to existential challenges and ecological effects of natural, technological and societal changes on humans.
